Assisting crime victims, preventing violence, promoting safety

We provide free and private services to USF students, faculty and staff, both men and women, who have experienced crime, violence or abuse, for incidents occurring on or off campus, recently or in the past.

The mission of the University of South Florida Advocacy Program is to empower survivors of crime, violence and abuse by promoting the restoration of decision-making and control to survivors and advocating for their rights. Through education and collaboration the Advocacy Program reduces risk and fosters a safer university community.

The USF Advocacy Program’s services are tailored to meet an individual’s needs and requests and may include:
· Crisis Intervention
· Emotional Support
· Personal and systems advocacy
· Court Accompaniment · Information, Options, & Referrals
· Victim Helpline
· Safety Planning
· Prevention & Education Presentations
· Assistance filing - Police Report, Injunction for Protection, Crime Victim’s Compensation Claim

Appointments are available in our office or other safe locations on campus.
Walk-ins are welcome, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5pm.
