Feeling like you don't fit in?

The USF Non-Traditional Group is designed as a resource for the mature, non- traditional student. The non-traditional student is a person who does not identify as a "typical college co-ed." The group is an initiative that will allow people from this specific cohort to come together and share advice, form friendships, and assist each other in feeling part of the USF community. Our hope is that through this initiative more people will feel connected and become successful in pursuing their educational goals.

A Facebook page has been established to help start the dialogue and allow people to communicate and share information. At orientation sessions for transfer students, a poster board is displayed and information is presented so that people can connect with this group upon their first experience with USF. Other programs to come are: social events geared at the Non Traditional students and their families planned in conjunction with USF4U, The Alumni Center, New Student Connections and Transfer Student Organization.
