Dr. Huber joined the faculty in 2014. She does research at the intersections of pedagogy, performance, and intercultural communication. Her most recent publication, co-authored with Dr. Chris McRae, Creating Performances for Teaching and Pedagogy: A Practice Session for Pedagogy (2017) offers a conceptual framework for employing creative practices as a starting point for theorizing pedagogy and developing teaching methods that are grounded in aesthetic, creative, and critical approaches to education. Her current research project examines the ways in which teacher education students communicate and perform “help” in pedagogical contexts.
